Growing up in small-town western Oklahoma, I wasn’t interested in the outdoors. Those interests changed drastically on a trip to Seattle Washington I took in my late twenties. I saw towering pine trees full of life that made me feel as though I was breathing fresh air for the first time. I saw real mountains that reset my perspective on size and scale in the world.
Now a family man with six kids and an amazing wife, I realize how important it is to experience outdoors and adventure.

Professional
My wife and I run a nonprofit organization called HopeLocal in Fort Worth Texas. We believe that every child belongs in a family. Our organization works to recruit foster and adoptive families, recruit and build support communities around those families, and advocate for vulnerable kids and families in our community.
Personal
I think my greatest calling is to be a good husband and father. My wife and I have been married for sixteen years and we are blessed to have six children ages eight to twenty-one. Most of the decisions I make in life revolve around serving them well.
Social
Social media has changed the world in so many ways. For me, it’s become an incredibly powerful way to connect with people. It’s not just about content, it’s about engagement.
I’m most active on Instagram and Facebook and will be launching TikTok and YouTube accounts soon as well. I’m a very active communicator on these platforms. I don’t just post pictures and videos. I actively engage in direct communication with as many people as possible.
